GFM Institute is offered the first Friday of every month on a variety of topics to equip Christians to reach Muslims with the love and message of Christ.

Want to better understand Muslim cultural practices and values, separating truth from misconception? Join us on Friday, September 7th, 12:00-2:00 p.m. as Dr. Amie shares the session, "Debunking Myths About Islam and Building Bridges to the Gospel." Join GFM's co-founder for a time of learning how to engage Muslims in discussions about faith through culturally relevant bridges. Inform your prayer and catalyze your outreach as you learn from our engaging speaker!

Featured Presenter: Dr. Amie

As the Co-founder of GFM Ministries, Dr. Amie brings twenty years of experience in cross-cultural ministry and program leadership. She has effectively served diverse clients in the U.S., East Asia, the Middle East, and South Asia. Dr. Amie provides leadership with GFM's domestic and international work, making regular trips to the developing nation communities we serve.

Through her initial trips to South Asia, she and her husband, Dr. Abraham, were moved to start GFM Ministries in 2002 in response to the extreme poverty they witnessed there. See more of the founders' story here.

Dr. Amie received a B.A. in Education from Dallas Baptist University, her M.Ed. from the University of Texas at Arlington, and her Ph.D. in Literacy Studies from the University of North Texas. Through her experience in higher education, she developed two master's degree programs and has taught undergraduate and master's courses at U.S. universities. A specialist in literacy, multicultural, and English as a second / foreign language education, Amie joins her passion for empowering girls and women in poverty through educational and economic opportunities with leadership and research initiatives through our educational and community transformation projects.
